A SHOPPER has been urged to stop dumping Farmfoods trolleys in an alleyway.
The problem was raised by a letter writer in the Rodbourne Cheney Residents' Association's newsletter.
Signing off their letter simply as an "angry resident", the correspondent pleaded:"Would the person who keeps dumping shopping trolleys from Farmfoods in the alleyway from Mulberry Grove to Cheney Manor Road please return them to Farmfoods or get a shopping trolley instead?"
They went on to offer a veiled warning to the individual or individuals responsible.
"If caught could be charged with dumping in a public place," the "angry resident said.
"This has been going on for some time. Respect the area that you live in."
Fly-tipping is a criminal offence. If convicted in the magistrates' court those responsible can be fined up to £50,000 or face 12 months in jail.
