A THIEF stole £1,000 from an elderly woman's bank account after stealing her debit card while asking her for directions.
A man wearing a high-visibility jacket appeared distressed when he approached his 71-year-old victim in the Dorcan Way Morrisons car park at around 4.30pm on March 27.
The man asked the woman for directions to the hospital so he could visit this mum and grabbed her card holder without her realising as she tried to help him.
He ran off and later used the card to withdraw £1,000 from a bank in Regent Street while accompanied by an older man.
Wiltshire Police are appealing for information which could help them with this theft and fraud case.
The police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in relation to their investigation.
Anyone who recognises either of the pair or can offer other information about the incident should call Wiltshire Police immediately on 101.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
