Cricklade acoustic music venue The Old Stables plays host to journeyman singer-songwriter Dave Fidler on Thursday, May 16.
It will be the last date of a spring tour to promote soon-to-be-released new album Songs from Aurora, which is his first in more than four years.
Dave’s style has been compared to that of luminaries including Crosby, Stills and Nash and Nick Drake.
The title of the album refers to Aurora, his name for the caravan in which much of the music was written.
The dozen songs have been described as blending intimately and warmly inviting stories with arrangements of hushed majesty.
They set scenes as diverse as performing at a Haitian women’s prison and being perilously trapped beneath a collapsed house in the midst of a Los Angeles earthquake.
Tickets for the Cricklade gig cost £12, and can be ordered online - with a 50p surcharge - by visiting www.theoldstables.club
Doors open at 7.30pm for an expected 8pm start.
