TWO dedicated fundraisers have smashed their £100 target to raise money for a local Leukaemia children's charity.

Georgia Stanley and Kelsey Husband, aged 12, and both students at Ridgeway School in Wroughton, held an Easter bake sale and tombola at the new Natwest store on The Parade.

They chose the local children's leukaemia charity CALM because they both have family and friends who are have been going through treatment.

Georgia said: "Easter time is a happy time for children, receiving chocolate and gifts and enjoying the Easter holidays."

But said she felt sad for the children that are unable to enjoy Easter the way she does.

The fundraisers mums Jane and Michelle both work as mortgage advisors at the branch and helped organise it with manager Emma Kayser.

Mum Jane Stanley said: "They raised £265.16 and totally smashed their target! So proud of them!"

CALM is a parent-run charity based in Swindon.
