THE Highworth Choral Society will be celebrating its 40th anniversary tonight with a concert in the newly-renovated St Michael's Church.
The choir will be accompanied by an orchestra and professional soloists as they sing through a programme which includes Mozart's Requiem, Te Deum and Ave Verum Corpus
Christine Dunster said: "This will be an amazing opportunity for people from the Swindon area to hear this beautiful music and see the inside of the newly refurbished St Michael's church at the same time - a momentous occasion."
The choir began in 1978, it currently has around 50 members and is always eager to welcome more. St Michael's Church reopened after a 12-month multi-million pound restoration and refurbishment project.
The concert begins at 7.30pm. Tickets from the Lighthouse Bookshop cost £15 and include a cupcake and a glass of wine or soft drink. Under-16s get free entry.
