CURRENT Wiltshire and Swindon Police and Crime Commissioner Angus Macpherson says it is business as usual until next year's election.
Mr Macpherson, a former councillor, has served in the post since 2012.
But the Wroughton businessman will not seek re-election next year.
This month, Wiltshire and Swindon Conservatives selected county councillor Jonathon Seed as the party's candidate for the role.
Mr Macpherson said: "The next police and crime commissioner election in May 2020 is a long way off but it will soon be here.
"I have more work to do between now and then - so it is business as usual as far as my office is concerned. However, I would like to wish all of the selected candidates the best of luck in future."
