A SWINDON-born businessman had become a trustee at the Wiltshire Air Ambulance Trust.
James Phipps, who has lived in Swindon all his life and is a former CEO of Excalibur Communications, will sit on the board of trustees of the charity and raise awareness.
“It’s vital to support Wiltshire Air Ambulance because it saves lives," he said.
"It’s one of those charities that is there for everyone, it doesn’t matter what your social background is, your ethnicity or religion."
He called on businesses, and individuals, in Swindon to support it, after recent figures showed the charity visits Swindon more than any town in Wiltshire.
For the first three months of 2019 it flew to 57 incidents in Swindon.
