POLICE arrested four people after stopping one of them from swallowing a package which officers believe to be full of class A drugs.
Officers visited Lady Lane in Blunsdon shortly after midnight yesterday morning to respond to a report a vehicle linked to class A drug dealing being spotted in the area.
They found the vehicle leaving Tadpole Village and going onto Oakhurst Way, stopped it, and found four people inside.
Officers quickly recovered a package from the mouth of one suspect before he could swallow it.
They found more class A drugs on the lap of the suspect.
Police arrested a 49-year-old Swindon man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
They also arrested other men, aged 17, 38, and 40, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
All four suspects remain in custody at Gablecross police station, where they were taken for questioning.
