GIN enthusiasts will be in heaven this weekend with the return of a festival celebrating the drink.

The Gin To My Tonic Festival will bring together over 100 different gins from across the UK and beyond to Steam Museum on Friday and Saturday.

The event is the work of lifelong friends and gin drinkers Emira Sheperd and Paul Hudson-Jones from Faringdon.

Emira said: “We are delighted to be able to hold a festival in our local area for the people of Swindon and beyond.

"We are also delighted to showcase various gin brands that will be in attendance and showcasing their product.

“Gin is evolving all the time and the range of flavours being produced now is just mind-blowing.

“Our journey started as we were fascinated by the distillation techniques, the flavours being produced, and the range of serve options.”

In two years, they amassed more than 57,000 followers on their Instagram, attracting the attention of worldwide gin distillers.

“Now through our events and social media, we are able to share what we’ve learnt, serve some amazing gin discovery, and whether you are a gin drinker old or new we are passionate about finding you a new favourite,” added Emira.

Paul said “Gin drinking habits have changed dramatically in the last five years and today’s gin drinkers demand to know more not only about what they are purchasing, but also how it can be served.

"The Gin To My Tonic Festival is there to take you on a journey of discovery”

Tickets cost £13.50 per person and this includes a copa balloon glass and a gin guide, containing the range of available, a tote bag, stainless-steel straw and more.
