AN AGGRESSIVE dog jumped up and tore into a teenage girl's leg and jeans in Shaw.

A man and a woman walking two dogs on the footpath near Percheron Close at 8.10pm on Friday April 19 strolled past the 14-year-old before one of the dogs started growling at her and attacked.

The woman pulled the dog away and the pair left the area by heading in the direction of Ramleaze Drive. The young victim suffered puncture wounds to her leg and a tear in her jeans.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for the public's help in identifying the dog walker.

The woman is described as aged in her mid-40s, approximately 5 ft 4 inches tall, of skinny build with bleached blonde hair just below her shoulder, wearing a jumper and jeans at the time of the incident. The man is described as being a similar age with grey hair, approximately 5 ft 10 inches tall, and possibly wearing jeans.

The dogs are described as white, possibly Staffordshire bull terrier types with short hair and pointed ears on rope-type leads.

PC Teresa Herbert said: “We are really keen to hear from anyone who was in the area, or anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the dog owners. The young girl sustained puncture wounds to her leg and was left really shaken up.”
