AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a Swindon teenager whose body was discovered at a Welsh beauty spot.
The young man has been named as 18-year-old James Roy Smart, from Swindon.
The authorities were called at around 8.45pm on Monday, April 29, after a man’s body was found at the bottom of cliffs near Port Eynon, in the Gower.
An inquest into his death was opened this week by the Swansea Coroner and adjourned until October, Wales Online has reported.
South Wales Police said the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death were not thought to be suspicious.
On the same night as the young man was found, Rhossili coastguard and the RNLI had been searching for an 85-year-old man around Limeslade beach, in the Mumbles, over concerns for his welfare.
A man’s body was later recovered at Rams Tor. He has been named as local James Stein, 85, from Langland.
