TEENAGERS pedalled more than 30 miles across the county to raise cash for charity.
The group of 11 youngsters from Wiltshire Army Cadets cycled from Swindon to Tilshead on May 4 to raise money for Walking with the Wounded, a charity helping vulnerable veterans.
Staff Sgt instructor Joanne Ruddle said: “Last year, three of them decided they wanted to do something different for a worthwhile cause. It’s 100 percent their idea from beginning to end, they made all the contacts and worked really hard. Young people doing something above and beyond for those who already have. I’m a really proud of them. We live in a society of such negativity towards our young people, that I feel this is something positive we should be celebrating and supporting.”
They have raised around £1,500 towards a £2,000 target.
