THE Samaritans will host an all-you-can eat curry to boost its coffers.
The charity aims to raise £70,000 a year to provide a safe talking space for people experiencing tough times.
A volunteer said: “We’d like to reach out to as many people as possible and ask them to join us on the 30th and so help us to be there when it matters.”
Samaritans are seeking new volunteers willing to give some of their spare time. A few positions are available, including listening volunteer or fundraising volunteer. The next information event will be held on May 16 at the Training Centre at Chiseldon House in West Swindon.
The curry night will take place at Tiffins in Old Town, on May 30 at 7pm.
Tickets cost £19.50 per person. To sign up visit Swindon and District Samaritans shop in Curtis Street.
