A PRIMARY school was repeatedly targeted by vandals equipped with heavy tools.

The Ruskin Junior School fence was cut using bolt cutters.

Wiltshire Police said they were investigating the criminal damage incidents, which saw the North Swindon school fence damaged four times over two nights.

On Facebook, Swindon North Police said: "The fence has been cut with damage from half way down the path that runs from the flats to the shops on Ermin Street.

"It is believed that the perpetrators would have had to use heavy duty tools."

Headteacher Andrew Beadnell said the damaged fence had been fixed: "Hopefully someone witnessed or knows more about this and hence we will be able to prevent this happening again in the future."

The damage happened at some point overnight on Sunday, April 7, and Wednesday, April 24.

Any witnesses should call Wiltshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
