A TARMACKED kerb repair branded an unsightly mess by one woman will be fixed, Swindon Borough Council said.
A picture of the temporary repair along Southampton Street were posted on social media by Jane Reck.
In the post, which has attracted almost 60 comments online, Ms Reck said the tarmac had already collapsed.
She later told BBC Wiltshire: "You've got a big, black, blob of black asphalt alongside the kerbstones. That looks very odd."
Ms Reck suggested it could be a broader problem: "If they are doing this sort of thing all over Swindon then it won't take long for this sort of unsightly mess to become commonplace."
A Swindon Borough Council spokesman said: “This was a temporary fix carried out on a day on which we had limited materials.
"Our highways team will be returning to carry out a full repair as soon as possible.”
