Residents and businesses are being encouraged to do their bit to keep the centre of town rubbish free.
InSwindon BID have launched a ‘Keep it Clean’ campaign in partnership with Swindon Borough Council to promote a clean town centre.
The campaign is an ongoing initiative aiming to reduce litter in the area long term.
It includes two community clean-up events, in which Swindon town centre businesses, visitors, residents and community groups are encouraged to take part.
Chief executive of inSwindon Di Powell said: “We all want Swindon town centre to be as welcoming as possible and we all have a role to play – as individuals and businesses.
“A team from Wilko recently joined the inSwindon Street Team on its own town centre clean-up and collected 18 bags of litter and even a discarded Christmas tree in just one single afternoon.”
