A PROLIFIC burglar has been jailed for more than three years after pleading guilty to breaking into a house in Blunsdon shortly after being released from prison.
Michael Jordan Cook, 23, of Pear Tree Way in Bristol pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and one count of breaching bail and was handed a 40-month prison sentence, and must pay a £170 victim surcharge.
Cook smashed a first floor window of a Blunsdon property on December 11 2018 to gain entry and search the upstairs of the house -nothing was stolen.
Det Con Jared Yalden, from the Swindon Community Tasking Team, based at Gablecross Police Station, said: “Cook is a prolific offender. A large proportion of our burglaries are committed by a small number of perpetrators so it is important that we take action and get convictions wherever possible.
“We are committed to tackling burglary and bringing offenders to justice.”
