A GROUP aimed at connecting local creative people and organisations in Swindon launches tomorrow night.
The Creative Swindon Network hosts its first event at the Arts Centre from 8pm with a question-and-answer panel followed by a drinks reception.
Anyone in joining or finding out more can come along to listen to Secret Swindon author Angela Atkinson, Swindon Pakistan Foundation founder Atiff Ghafar, Darkroom Theatre Company director Olly Webb, and Councillors Jane Milner-Barry and Dale Heenan discuss cultural and community events in Swindon, listen to ideas for future events and suggest what could be done to fund them.
A spokesman for the network said: "If you're someone who likes creating, making, or enjoying the arts and cultural activities in Swindon, this is an evening for you. We hope that being part of the network will enable people to come together and make things happen that they couldn't do alone."
Tickets to the Swindon Spring Festival event cost £5 each.
