Friends of Angel’s orphanage are celebrating their 10th birthday today.
The friends support an orphanage in Nepal, and have raised over £350,000 towards it in the last ten years.
The organisation began in 2009 when Ian and Rose Matheson adopted an orphanage of 22 children and their carers in Nepal.
This has been supported over the years by various activities, including the publication of ‘A Day in the Life of 100 Women in Britain', as well as the launch of Freedom Kit Bags - a re-useable eco- friendly menstrual protection kit bag. To date 4,500 kit bags have been distributed.
A ‘Jazz in the Church’ convert featuring The Robert Fowler Quartet will take place tonight at St Michael’s Church in Highworth SN6 7AD at 7:30pm, as well as a Family Fun Day on May 19 at Root & Branch, Westmill Farm SN6 8TH.
