A TRAIL of blood has been left on a doorstep in what appears to be the aftermath of a serious assault.
Police are yet to confirm the nature of the incident, but locals suggested that a boy in his teens may have been slashed with a knife.
The Advertiser understands a fight broke out between two groups of boys on Swindon Road, near Hobley Drive.
A forensics officer is currently at a home on Swindon Road. Drops of what appear to be blood have been left on a doorstep.
One resident on the road, 43, described coming home from work at around 6.30pm to find police swarming outside today the house: “I just felt total panic, because it’s so close to your house.”
