Swindon Women’s Aid, which runs a support line for women experiencing or at risk of domestic abuse, is opening a shop to help fund its work.
And the charity is looking for volunteers to help run the venture.
It tweeted picture of an empty shop unit in the town centre and wrote: “BIG NEWS FROM SWA! Our SWA charity shop will be opening in June.We will be situated in the heart of the town centre. We are currently recruiting shop volunteers.”
On the organisation’s website a number of roles are advertised.
It says: "The volunteer shop assistants would ideally be people who can commit to work three or four hours a week, though days can be flexible. Shifts are 10am to 1pm or 2pm and noon or 1pm to 4pm.
"There are also opportunities for volunteer shift leaders, again working the same hours and shifts. Van drivers are also needed."
