A VEHICLE crashed into a building in Old Town earlier today.
Crews from the Stratton, Westlea and Swindon Fire stations rushed to the scene of a road traffic collision in Kingshill Road.
The accident has caused damage to the ground floor flat.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service and Rescue said: “ A gentleman drove into the front window of a flat. Nobody was in the property.
"He was passed to the care of the ambulance.
“And crews evacuated residents form the remaining flats, isolated the electrics and created a cordon for the building.
"The incident was passed over to the Local Authority following being made safe."
Residents from the remaining flats were evacuated following the incident.
