Redrow Homes has created a community fund to donate money to the most deserving causes in Swindon

The house builder is inviting local people or organisations to write to them and explaini why they need the funding and how it would be used.

The team at Redrow South West will then make a decision on which causes will benefit from the financial boost.

Redrow South West area sales manager Libby Bolton said: “We want to see the communities in the areas we build new houses in thriving and supporting local organisations and initiatives is a great way to do this.

“We’re keen to hear from people in Swindon about how this community funding should best be spent to benefit as many people as possible.”

The property developer has plenty of experience in supporting the communties around its housing through community funds.

Funding in other Redrow regions has contributed towards a Wiltshire primary school receiving £300 for new benches and Winterbourne Parish Council gaining £500 to renovate a redundant telephone box into a book exchange for the community.

Swindon is home to the property developer’s Abbey Farm site, which is made up of 175 properties and has a range of four and five-bedroom homes available from £385,995.

Located five miles north of Swindon with easy access to the town centre and the M4, the development offers a combination of Cotswold country living with all the conveniences of the town.

The developer is eager to donate money to little and large good causes in and around Swindon and is encouraging charities and community groups to apply for a portion of the funding.

Anyone interested in applying for the community fund should write up and email a brief description of how they would like to use the money to Maisie.wallace@purplefish.agency.

All entries must be submitted before the deadline of Friday June 14. Entiries received after that date may not be considered.
