THE OLD Town offices of Swindon’s leading estate agent have been given a new look.

Richard James Estate Agents recruited local suppliers and specialists from the area to design Pop Art-inspired boards and adverts around town before adding this art to the business’ three-storey base at the top of Victoria Road.

CEO Richard James said: “Our business is expanding. We recently acquired local independent agency In House and we were outgrowing our space in Old Town, which we last refurbished 10 years ago.

“So while we were extending the building, it seemed the right time to give the entire interior a fresh, new look.

"We wanted something that represents how we work today, and basically the core of our business is about people. Our colleagues work with people to help them realise their dreams and aspirations, rather than simply to rent or buy or sell a property.

“We have just completed a three-storey extension and created room in our Old Town offices for our growing team.

"There’s an architect’s practice on the top floor so we are able to offer help to builders, developers and landowners looking to understand or maximize the value of their site, and we have brokers to help buyers get the best deals on mortgages.

"We’ve given the offices a very smart but comfortable vibe, so that colleagues and clients feel truly at home there.”

Richard James sourced artworks from Oink gallery and lighting from Arc, both on Victoria Road, and the furniture was supplied by Neptune, whose head office is in Swindon.

Mark Pepperall, who owns Oink, has provided a selection of artworks from his gallery for the office, and will be changing the selection on a regular basis.

Richard held a launch party to celebrate the refurbishment. Wood Street's Magnum Wine Shop supplied the bubbly while Jack’s on Victoria Road provided canapes.

Mr James added: “Neighbours can be an important part of people’s lives, and we value our neighbours very highly.

“Swindon is a brilliant town to live and work in, and if we all support each other it will continue to be so.”
