A JAZZ concert will be staged this summer to help secure the funds needed for another festival in the town in 2020.
After the inaugural Swindon Jazz and Soul Festival proved a real hit last month, artists will take the stage again on July 6.
Festival organiser Evie Em-Jay said: “Due to the incredible public support of our first Swindon and Jazz Festival this April, we have been given the go-ahead for 2020.
“This year’s event would not have been possible without our fundraising concert last year.
“So we are again holding a very special concert to raise funds which will go directly towards securing the line-up for next year’s festival and to produce the brochures by the end of the year.”
American saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis will be among the artists to perform in July along with Gareth Williams, one of the UK’s leading Jazz pianists. Will Harris, Denny Ilett Jnr and Andrew Tween will also be at the event at Christ Church, Old Town.
Tickets cost £12 each., with free entry for people aged under 16. Doors open at 7pm for a 8pm start.
