ON A sunny day, as we strolled along Warminster High Street looking for somewhere to lunch, we happened on this little gem of a cafe.

The French name is key to its culinary style as well as its themed decor, and we could see a cabinet of delicious looking cakes inside.

Coupled with the lovely weather, an awning to shelter us from the sun and gaily-painted table and chairs outside, the call was to strong to resist.

Unsure whether to order at the counter, and worried every seat we could see inside was full, we poled our heads in to be assured they did table service, and if we sat down the busy waitress would only be a minute.

Which indeed she was, leaving us menus and taking an order for two coffees, promptly. She also helpfully said food would be a short wait, as they were busy, which we could see, but it was a good sign that she took the trouble to mention it.

There's nothing worse than having a timed lunchbreak and having to wait ages for your food to arrive.
