A TV star and professional skateboarder will give a talk to aspiring young businesspeople in Swindon about the secrets to his success.

James Threlfall MBE will chat at a free networking event hosted by Young Enterprise Swindon on June 13 at Desk Cowork from 6.30pm.

YES is a new young entrepreneurs networking group aimed at 18-to-35 year olds which aims to bring together like-minded entrepreneurs and ambitious young people to connect, form meaningful relationships and create a support network.

The network is be open to young professionals, entrepreneurs and students over the age of 18 who are interested in business.

Videogames inspired Mr Threlfall to pursue a career in skateboarding and he signed a professional contract with Animal amongst food and drink endorsements when he was 18. He then balanced extreme sports events with presenting TV shows on the BCC and Vice, including Now Boarding which broadcasts in more than 50 countries around the world, then received an MBE in the 2019 New Year's Honours list.
