A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of assault after reports a woman had been attacked on a Pinehurst street.
Now, Wiltshire Police has appealed for anyone who saw the alleged attack on Chestnut Avenue, Pinehurst, to come forward.
The force said officers were called at around 3.20pm on Friday, June 7, after reports that a man had assaulted a woman in the street. The woman was seen climbing into a silver Vauxhall Astra, before getting out of the car.
A 37-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and has since been released under investigation.
PC Lewis Thorne said: "We'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in this area at this time. It was in broad daylight so someone must have seen or heard something.
"Also, if you have any dash-cam footage please come forward as that would help our enquiries too."
Call Wiltshire Police on 101.
