DETECTIVES investigating a disorder that left a teen with a slashed head are yet to make an arrest, police said.

Almost a month on from the incident on Swindon Road, Stratton, Wiltshire Police said enquiries were still ongoing.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was slashed in the head shortly before 6pm on May 18.

Bystanders said two groups of youths had clashed on Swindon Road. The larger group was said to have yelled insults before launching the attack.

A trail of blood left on a doorstep on Swindon Road pointed to the violent nature of the disorder.

Appealing for witnesses after the clash, Det Sgt Adrian Bray of Swindon CID said: “This incident understandably attracted a lot of attention from members of the public due to the large number of youths involved."

Witnesses should call Wiltshire Police on 101.
