A NEW flume tower and slides will be unveiled today as the Oasis Centre's water park reopens after a three month refurbishment.
New showers have been fitted in the changing rooms, together with a new boiler and pool filters.
Max Wilshaw, general manager at the Oasis Leisure Centre said: "We are really excited to be relaunching the water park. Since it first opened back in 1984 the water slides have become a real Swindon landmark.
"The recent refurbishment means they are now fit for purpose and ready to provide fun and entertainment for the next generation of Swindon's youngsters."
Generations of Swindon families have ridden the flumes at the Oasis water park. And while some say the park has changed little in the three decades since it opened, the pool is getting a new flume tower in the swimming pool, together with new slides.
Today, the opening day, family swim sessions cost £10 when they are booked online.
