THE Swindon City of Sanctuary group is hosting two events to mark Refugee Week 2019.
Tomorrow, Lawn Manor Academy will host A Celebration of Welcomes with the Swindon Schools of Sanctuary Network from 6pm to 7.30pm.
The event will highlight the creative and innovative work and performances that aim to promote a culture of safety, welcome and inclusion in schools around the town.
Light refreshments will be availble and guests will get the chance to view the displays before the performances start.
Then, on Thursday, Coffee #1 in the town centre hosts We're Open from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
The We're Open project focuses on bringing the community together through a shared love of good coffee and tea, conversation, music and competitive board games. For Refugee Week the duo Royal Soul will be performing live and many people have been invited to celebrate the occasion.
