DRIVERS in Vauxhall Corsas are the most likely to run a red light in Wiltshire, it appears.

Wiltshire Police data shows that 96 people were caught running a red light in 2018.

The data - obtained by comparison site Go Compare under freedom of information laws - shows that Wiltshire ranked 17th out of 18 forces for the number of drivers ignoring traffic lights.

And motorists in the Vauxhall hatchback ran more than those in any other car.

The comparatively low figures are partly because Wiltshire police do not operate any traffic light cameras, which can automatically fine people for running red signals.

However, Wiltshire police did catch 96 - and were able to give a breakdown of which models of car were the worst offenders.
