A man has been banned from entering High Wycombe town centre and begging there.

Charles Bamber, of no fixed address, has been slapped with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) to stop him from going into High Wycombe town centre or Wycombe Marsh - unless he has pre-arranged appointments.

The order is in place for five years and the 38-year-old's CBO also means he cannot beg in those areas.

He was issued with the order at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on June 10.

It comes after he pleaded guilty to two counts of begging in a public place.

The court heard he begged in White Hart Street on January 30 and in Dovecote Road on January 31.

He was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay £20 in costs.

He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Wycombe Magistrates' Court on March 1.
