Everybody Sing has been preparing to perform at this year's Downton Abbey Live on Saturday June 22.

The event hosted by Carson the butler actor Jim Carter is an open-air concert at Highclere Castle where the show was filmed.

The 40 strong choir will be the supporting act to the main show.

Operations manager for the choir Zoe Naudo said: “This is an enormous honour to be performing at such a prestigious event. The choir members are very excited at the scale of this event, they’ve been rehearsing a few times a week for the past five to six weeks.

“We’ve got a 35-minute set where we will perform our own music, but we’ve also been chosen to perform the Downton Abbey opening theme with a 40-piece orchestra.

“This event will allow the opportunity for the choir to experience a professional environment, complete with equipment, lighting and stage managers. We’re hoping this event will enable us to do more large-scale events in the future”.
