A THIEF accused who was arrested in a dawn swoop in Royal Wootton Bassett will appear before the courts next month.
Jason Smith, 33, of no fixed address, has been charged with two counts of burglary, stealing two bicycles and two shop thefts.
He appeared before Salisbury Magistrates; Court and was remanded in custody to appear before the same court on July 9.
Pre-sentence reports will be prepared ahead of the next court hearing.
Smith is said to have stolen scratch cards from the AAA shop on Cricklade Road, Gorse Hill, on June 2 and Smirnoff vodka from Iceland in Havelock Square, Swindon town centre, on May 21.
The bike thefts were said to have taken place in Regent Circus on May 27 and Manchester Road on the same date.
Smith is accused of burgling WH Smith on May 30 and June 1, when he took cash.
The Swindon man was picked up by Royal Wootton Bassett police in the town early on Monday morning.
