The Adver’s Community Reporter Elly Roberts on why she’s set up a new Facebook group – Penhill & Pinehurst News – and how you can get involved
I’m the Adver’s Community Reporter and I want to know everything that’s happening in Penhill and Pinehurst.
So I’ve set up the Penhill & Pinehurst News Facebook group on the Adver’s Facebook page.
It’s simple to get involved – just scroll down the page until you see the group, then click on ‘join’.
And then not only will you see all the news we carry from this area, but you can post your own updates about what’s happening.
It’s a great new way to provide to our readers with all the local stories, events, campaigns and more happening in Penhill and Pinehurst.
I am focusing on these areas in North Swindon, and am keen to make sure both are fully represented, because it’s important that the Adver speaks for all communities in our town.
I want to make sure all the good news stories are published, as well as the challenges being faced.
So please get in touch with any stories, events or projects going on.
Penhill and Pinehurst both have strong local communities and much happening within them that can be celebrated. And it’s important our readers know about it.
So if you have a story for Penhill or Pinehurst, send me through the details.
Whether you’re a business, a charity, a community centre or an individual who is doing something great, then I want to hear from you.
Or maybe there's an issue we should be shining a light on?
Let me know about any fundraising campaigns or milestones that has been achieved.
Perhaps a new initiative has been started or something has happened that you think needs to be highlighted.
