Swindon's Chronic Pain Awareness Group, based at Pinetrees Community Centre will host MP Justin Tomlinson in their meeting tomorrow.

From 10am on Friday 28, the Conservative MP for North Swindon will speak to the support group about benefits and disability provision as well as answering questions from the group.

MP Tomlinson served as Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Disabled People from May 2015 until July 2016, before then becoming a Minister of State at the Department for Work and Pensions in April 2019.

Kerrie Barrett, chairwoman of the support group said: "Our aim is to try and get the word out there that we are about. We would like people to know that we are here to help and that they don’t have to suffer alone."

The Chronic Pain Awareness Group was founded to provide support to sufferers and carers of people who suffer with chronic pain.

They hold a weekly meet up every Thursday at Pinetrees Community Centre, The Circle, Swindon SN2 1R.

Individuals can come along for guidance and help with anything to do with their condition.

Mrs Barrett added: "We can help do form filling and be there if someone needs advice or just a chat."
