STAND where the person who took this picture stood and you would see the BBC Radio Wiltshire car park in Prospect Place, Old Town.
If the model of the single parked car and the cat strolling nonchalantly along a street now heavy with traffic are anything to go by, the image was captured no later than the early 1950s.
In June of 1966, two shops and a house at the junction of Prospect Place and Victoria Road would be demolished in a road-widening scheme.
Other pictures in our archive suggest that by that time the buildings seen in the foreground of this photograph were already gone, although we welcome further information from readers.
