A YOUNG girl had her hair cut off to raise money for a cancer charity.

Isabelle Hunt went to Goldworthy’s in Catherine Street to support the Little Princess Trust and help the charity make wigs with real hair.

The seven-year-old raised more than £700 and donations are still coming in.

Isabelle said: “I feel proud because I was very brave and I have done a really good thing. I feel very happy.”

Her mum Lindsay said: “It was absolutely wonderful. Isabelle was so excited, and she did not stop grinning.

“She thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and was made to feel special.”

“We are very proud of our big girl.”

Isabelle lost her grandmother Ann Wilson in 2011 and her grandfather Gerry Hunt in 2014, both to non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Her next challenge is taking on the Run the Rainbow for Prospect hospice in September.
