A STALKER woken up by workers sent to fit him with an electronic tag swore at the men and told them to go away.

Yesterday, magistrates told Pinehurst man Frank Fiocca he must serve an extra night on curfew after he admitted breaching the community order made at Swindon Magistrates’ Court in June for a stalking offence.

And Dr Barbara Spender, chairman of the bench, said to the 61-year-old: “Try and keep within the rules.”

Appearing in the dock wearing a smart pinstripe suit, Fiocca, of Tovey Road, Pinehurst, admitted breaching the order.

Emma Thacker, defending, said her client had Motor Neurone Disease and suffered from sleep apnoea and, while he generally had a placid demeanour, his condition could affect his behaviour and manner towards people. The curfew tag monitoring company visited his home at 11.30pm, when Fiocca was already in bed. He had not heard them ringing the doorbell. He was woken up when they called his phone, with Fiocca telling them to “p**s off”.

They returned the next day.
