PEOPLE are invited to give their views on road plans designed to help the eastward expansion of Swindon.
Four drop-in sessions have been arranged to give people details and seek their feedback about plans including the expansion of the White Hard roundabout and improvements to Oxford Road before 8,000 new houses are built as part of the New Eastern Villages.
Sessions take place on:
Saturday, 20 July: 9am – 12.30pm at Grange Leisure, Stratton
Wednesday, 24 July: 1.30pm – 6.30pm at Coleview Community Centre
Thursday, 25 July: 3pm – 8pm at Hoopers Field Hall, Wanborough
Gary Sumner, the council’s cabinet member for strategic planning, said: “These highways projects are the biggest we have ever undertaken and are vital to ensuring that the New Eastern Villages can go ahead as planned. I encourage people to attend the drop-ins and I hope they will find them useful.”
