CHOIR members joined together for a tea party to raise money for the charity Mind.

Two choirs from Chippenham and Royal Wootton Bassett took part in an event with tea, homemade cakes and singing.

Tuneless Tea Party raised over £600 for the Wiltshire’s Mind taking the choirs total fundraising for the charity to £1.5k.

They were named the Tuneless Choirs for anyone who feels their singing isn’t good enough for a choir but still enjoy singing.

Mind are a charity that support anyone with mental health problems that offer a helpline and information on mental health issues.

Lis Hazell, choir leader and organiser, she said: “We were delighted with the total for two relatively small groups we are absolutely thrilled. Obviously, we will continue to donate to mind, we have raised one thousand five hundred pounds in total this year.”

Members of the two choirs brought along their family and friends to spend the day together and to help raise money for the charity.
