CHOIR members from two Wiltshire towns joined together for a tea party to raise money for the mental health charity Mind.

The Tuneless Choirs of Royal Wootton Bassett and Chippenham enjoyed an afternoon of tea, homemade cakes and singing at the London Road guest house and raised £625 for the charity’s Wiltshire branch. Their efforts took their fundraising total to £1,500.

More than 70 singers took part in the fun and were joined by family members and friends. Tuneless Choirs are aimed at those who enjoy singing but feel their talents are not good enough for a more traditional choir.

Lis Hazell, choir leader and organiser, she said: “We were delighted with the total for two relatively small groups we are absolutely thrilled.

“We will continue to donate to Mind. We have raised £1,500 in total this year.”
