A RAPPER is one of five men accused of conspiring to supply cocaine in Swindon.

Nahkell Gordon, who as south London rapper J Avalanche once recorded a single with international star Tinie Tempah, appeared before Bristol Crown Court yesterday morning.

The 32-year-old, formerly of Eastwood Close, Harry Byart, 25, of Merlin Close, Waltham Abbey, Marcus Mawire, 24, of Milton Road, Sittingbourne, Edson Monteiro de Resende, 34, of Pasteur Drive, Swindon, and Dean Mulholland, 28, of Limes Avenue, Swindon, all deny charges of conspiring the supply of a class A drug in September 2017. It is estimated the kilogramme of cocaine the men are accused of attempting to bring in to Swindon would have had a street value of around £200,000.

The men spoke only to confirm their names.

A jury, made up of five men and seven women, was sworn in yesterday morning. The Crown will open the case today.

The trial is expected to last for four weeks.
