DIVERSITY will not be performing in Swindon in December.

News that the Britain’s Got Talent favourites were heading to the Oasis for a pre-Christmas show was greeted with excitement in the town when details were released by Red Sky Promotions last month.

But the company, based on Gipsy Lane, has since announced it is closing. It has apologised to fans of the dance troupe and is promising to refund anybody who has already bought tickets within the next seven days.

A statement released by Red Sky Promotions yesterday read: “It is with deep regret that we have to announce that the planned Diversity show at the Oasis, Swindon on December 1 will no longer be taking place due to the closure of us as a company.

“Red Sky Promotions takes full responsibility for this eventuality and wish to apologise to fans of Diversity who will, quite rightly, feel let down. Obviously this was never our intention.

“Refunds for all tickets purchased will be set out in the next seven working days. Once again our heartfelt apologies for the disappointment and inconvenience that this may have caused anyone.

“Payments will be for the full value and returned via the same method by which they were purchased.

“Please bear in mind that they is a busy time for us and we are doing our upmost to reimburse everyone as quickly as we can. If you do have any questions not covered in the above please contact us on customerservice@redskypromotions.co.uk - thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.”

Red Sky Promotions managing director Craig Bibby said his company had been losing money on its recent events – notably the Back to the 80s festival in Old Town last month.

“Although we put on a number of successful events this year, fundamental errors in the way that the company was set up compounded by losses incurred at the most recent, Back to the 80s, event has left us with no choice but to close the company.

“Thanks to everyone who helped and supporting us during this steep learning curve, who knows what the future holds but for now at least that journey has come to a regrettable conclusion.”
