Swindon Climate Action Network is hosting its next litter pick tomorrow in Pinehurst.

Between 10am and 1pm tomorrow, volunteers will meet outside Pinetrees Community Centre, The Circle, SN2 1QR for the community clean up.

All are welcome, including children accompanied by adults.

Organisers said: “Understanding the harm that plastic and other waste causes animals, the earth and us, we are doing something positive about it.”

In conjunction with RSPCA North Wiltshire, the event is part of the Plastic-Free Swindon campaign to reduce plastic pollution by engaging with local people, organisations and businesses.

This aims to raise awareness and encourage action, as well as create changes to allow a more sustainable future.

Swindon Climate Action Network is an independent group of people from across the town who are concerned about climate change and want to do something about it.

Everyone interested in taking part is encouraged to come prepared for the weather, with rain forecast.
