STEAM Museum is just £1 for a day out with the children as the summer holidays start.
Children can climb on famous trains, drive the simulator and get to know what it takes to be a signal- man.
Starting on Monday up until September 1 anyone aged up to 15 can go to the museum for £1 and under threes go free.
There will be a Meccano Challenge Week where children can use metal and plastic part to build flying models.
Councillor Dale Heenan, Swindon Borough Council’s cabinet member responsible for Steam, said: “It doesn’t take a ‘spark of genius’ to realise that Steam’s summer holiday offer is the perfect time to visit.
“Our Kids for a Quid promotion is a great way for families to have a fun day out and, with Steam having activities covering Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths, there is something for everyone to learn this summer.”
