Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group has been given an injection of cash by Persimmon Homes.
The charity received the £1,000 donation as part of the company's nationwide Building Futures scheme.
The group will use the funds for a 12-week drama project culminating in a performance for 17 of it's members.
Kim West, chairman of the parent-led group that supports people with Down's syndrome, said: “It’s donations like this that allow us to provide activities, such as our drama project.
“The project itself will help to promote self-esteem, confidence, communication and social skills for our young people.
Pauline Fletcher, sales and marketing director at Persimmon Homes Wessex, said: “We strongly believe in supporting the communities where we build, and are delighted to support Swindon Down’s Syndrome Group and the vital services they provide."
