THEY came to fight and battle to the bitter end. They came to Attack!
The 40th annual show of Devizes and District Wargames Group at Devizes School attracted people from all over the country.
Chairman Philip Mackie said: ““The show has grown enormously and this year we hired more space and hosted extra competitions and more traders – some 38 of them.
“Traders and competitors came from as far away as Belgium, County Durham and Penzance.
“Attack! is about showing off the best of our hobby and people spend months preparing participation and demonstration games.”
This year the Combined Oppos, a group of ex-servicemen, won the prize for best demonstration game for their WWII Burma game.”
Mr Mackie said: “Tom Barnes from Melksham, was possibly our youngest trader, selling 3D printed models for wargames. He has been a club member since he was 13 year sold. He is no mean painter of figures either.”
The event raised just over £200 for 1st Devizes Scouts.
