SPECIALIST paramedics were called to a serious incident near Grange Land Rover.

South Western Ambulance Service said a hazardous area response team vehicle was called to Dorcan Way shortly after 4pm, together with two specialist incident response unit vehicles.

The incident is not believed to be connected to the dealership.

There was one reported casualty, a spokesman said. However, the ambulance service would not comment on the nature of the incident or whether there was a wider risk posed to members of the public.

The three ambulance vehicles could be seen leaving the scene at around 4.40pm. However, the incident was described by SWAST at 5.30pm as ongoing.

A spokesman for Grange Land Rover confirmed there was no incident at the dealership.
